Pool Paintings- Solo Exhibition
Holland Arts East Gallery (map)
The Holland Arts East Gallery is pleased to present Pool Paintings, a solo exhibition by Sophia Weisensel.
Sophia Weisensel makes work about the American Midwest. Born in rural Minnesota, she focuses on the small-town, big-sky landscape where she was raised. Weisensel’s work explores coming of age, family and gender dynamics, and the complex, sometimes proud people who are a part of her upbringing. She is interested in putting a spotlight on these people and their surroundings. These pool paintings are a selection of pieces completed over the last two years, connected by their common setting.
Pool Paintings runs January 3rd-January 30th and can be viewed during Yellowbird Coffee Bar’s hours of operation, Mon-Fri 7am-5pm, Sat-Sun 8am-5pm.
